Hello Reunion Nation

In
December of 2007 when my contract with Reunion ran out, I had no idea that in January of 2010 I would be standing on my favorite piece of ground, the Reunion Practice Area.  I am very pleased to be back as your Teaching Professional.  The weather has not allowed  much time on the tee yet but that will change.

Today I was able to spend some time on the Tee.  I ran into a Reunion Resident that was hitting a few balls to shake off the icicles from the last few days cold temps.  As I watched him swing my thoughts were very basic. What's wrong with this swing and how can I help in just a few words?  Those of you that I have had the pleasure of working with know how fundamental my teaching is.  Grip, alignment, stance, posture are the Laws that Mr. Hogan laid down many years ago and they still hold true today.  My mini-lesson student today needed a few adjustments and like magic the club started moving the ball toward the target.

Over the next few months I will be blogging my return to form. I will document my practice routines and exercise goals.  Just because  I could play scratch golf a few years ago doesn't mean I still can today. It also means that I can return to form with work. The drills and practice routines I have taught many of you will bring me back just as they have helped many of you. Like a Boxer readying for a title bout, I must train, practice and prepare for the coming Golf Season.

Thanks to all of my friends for the well wishes,  see you on the Practice Tee.
Mike
